Shafted screws are made from helicoid flighting or sectional flighting. They have a solid centre pipe.<\/p>\n

Helicoid flighting is cold-rolled from special steel into a continuous helix and welded to the round centre pipe.<\/p>\n

Sectional \ufb02ighting is manufactured from steel plates and formed into a helix.<\/p>\n

These are available in a wide range of thicknesses and used for more abrasive applications. Sectional screws are mounted on a centre pipe, which can be round, square or any other shape to suit specific requirements.<\/p>\n

VisSansFin uses full-penetration welding to attach each flight together and fastens them with intermittent or continuous welds, according to customer preference. Made mainly of carbon steel, abrasion-resistant steel or stainless steel, shafted screws are suitable for conveying dry or wet materials. Most are subject to the CEMA industry standard or can be made to order.<\/p>\n
